Step 1: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare the butter sauce by combining softened butter with all the remaining sauce ingredients. Mix well until smooth and microwave until it’s soft enough to be easily spread but not fully melted.

Step 2: Roll out the pre-made pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to slightly flatten to a rectangle. Spread on the the buttery dijon sauce in an even layer from edge to edge. Lay the cheese slices on covering every inch of the dough. You may need to cut some pieces down to fit. Top the cheese with slices of ham, slightly overlapping them.

Step 3: Starting at the bottom of the long end, carefully roll up the dough taught. Then slice into 2″ pieces just like you’re assembling and slicing cinnamon rolls. Place them into a buttered 9×13 casserole dish. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until browned and bubbly. Spread the tops with the leftover butter sauce and serve warm.

Can You Use Homemade Pizza Dough?

Yes, you can absolutely use a homemade pizza dough or fresh pizza dough from your local bakery rather than the Pillsbury tube. I don’t think homemade dough is worth the extra effort for such a simple and fun recipe, but it will work with the same cooking times. No alterations to the recipe are needed.
