Popeyes Fried Chicken Recipe

Juicy, crunchy, fried chicken

  • 8 lbs chicken
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tbsps baking powder
  • 2 tbsps paprika
  • 1 tsp Sazon
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

For the chicken

  • 2 tsps salt
  • 2 tsps paprika
  • 1 tsp pepper

For the wet batter

  • 4 eggs
  • cup cold water
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce

Instructions 

  • To begin, heat your vegetable oil to 375 degrees before starting the cooking process.

  • In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder and spices.

  • In a separate bowl, beat together eggs, cold water, and hot sauce using a whisk.
