Whole30 Italian Salad Dressing

This Whole30 Italian Salad Dressing is SO easy to make and very budget-friendly. It’s a whole-food remake of a classic dressing. Perfect for green salads, marinades, or pasta salads.

Why We Love This Whole30 Italian Salad Dressing

First, it’s possibly the simplest salad dressing ever! Many homemade dressings and sauces require a blender or immersion blender. This one is just a simple add, shake, and use dressing! You can have it mixed up in under 10 minutes flat.

Second, this Whole30 Italian Salad Dressing is budget-friendly. It just uses basic dried spices, oil, and vinegar, making it more affordable and a great option for those on a budget.

Third, it’s very allergen-friendly. This dressing is Whole30, Paleo, Keto, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, nut-free, egg-free, vegan, and Plant-Based Whole30 compatible. Whew, and hooray for a dressing that covers so many dietary needs!

Finally, it’s flavorful and versatile. Use it on a green salad as a quick and easy dressing option. Or, use it as a delicious marinade for chicken. Our favorite way to use it is on my Italian Pasta Salad (below) —so easy and good!

Ingredients

  • Olive oil – You can use extra virgin or extra light tasting, whatever you prefer! Avocado oil will also work for this recipe.
  • Red wine vinegar – Yes, you can have red wine vinegar on Whole30! You can read more about that rule here (look under the “fine print” section). You can also substitute white wine vinegar for this recipe.
  • Lemon juice – Freshly squeezed or from a bottle, both work great.
  • Garlic powder – I buy all my spices in bulk from either the bulk bins at Winco or from Sam’s Club. I find them to be the most affordable there.
  • Onion powder
  • Dried basil
  • Dried oregano
  • Dried thyme
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper – Traditional table salt and ground black pepper.

Whole30 Easy Italian Dressing - 10-minutes, no blending! Gluten-free, dairy-free, Paleo, Keto, plant-based, and vegan. Budget-friendly!
